The Network Eye(R)
Use one network PC to command, copy, pop-up, process on, gab with, broadcast
to, and view all network PCs.
Artisoft's The Network Eye software lets you do some amazing things, very
quickly, very easily. Like troubleshoot and manage an entire network without
running from PC to PC. Or run, view and control hundreds of programs running
on hundreds of network PCs... without leaving your desk!
Should you want to copy from one PC to another, you can do that, too. You can
even broadcast a teacher's screen to students' screens, or interact with
students on their own screens. And if your present LAN doesn't let you share
fax, modem and plotter servers, just load The Network Eye and start sharing
those resources.
Best of all, The Network Eye uses a tiny amount of RAM and retails for far
less than any other network remote product.
With The Network Eye, you sit down at one network PC and remotely view the
screens and control the keyboards of every PC in your network. Or every other
PC in your network can simultaneously view and control the PC at which you're
sitting.
Each remote screen appears on your screen within a pop-up window. Size one
window to take up the whole screen. Or view up to 32 at once. And switch
between windows with a keystroke. The Network Eye is the only network remote
that lets you have multiple sessions, as well as your local session, visible
on-screen at once.
You can "pop-up" The Network Eye... establish connections to other PCs... see
their screens within windows on your own screen... perform tasks on remote
computers... leave The Network Eye to complete tasks on your own computer...
then pop-up The Network Eye again with all of your previous connections
undisturbed.
You can actually run hundreds of programs at once on hundreds of remote PCs.
Each program will continue running even after you break The Network Eye
connection to the PC it's running on.
No wonder LAN Magazine wrote: "With... The Network Eye, where multiple remote
connections can be switched among and monitored at once, the possibilities
are incredible. The savings in time can be immense and the increase in
productivity huge." LAN Magazine, July '89.
Manage your entire network without running from PC to PC.
Here you are, a Network Manager, and sixteen people are calling you with
sixteen different problems. With The Network Eye you can establish a
connection with any computer on your network, watch what a user does wrong,
and take steps to correct it... without leaving your PC! You can change
AUTOEXEC.BAT files, reboot remote computers, change server and printer
connections, or perform any other management-related task from a single
computer. That makes The Network Eye the ideal tool for fast, efficient
network management!
Multiprocess on idle PCs... all at the same time from a single PC.
With The Network Eye, you can start a database sort on one computer, perform
a database search on another, calculate a spreadsheet on yet another, and
edit a report on your own PC... without taking a step. The Network Eye's
cutting-edge multiwindow and multiprocessing capabilities make it the
ultimate instrument for increasing office productivity!
Assist and train other users on their own PCs without leaving your PC.
The Network Eye makes teaching students or business trainees much easier and
faster. Since teachers share control of computers with students, they are
able to monitor and interact with the students without having to visit each
individual workstation.
In a computer lab, teachers broadcast their screens to every student.
Students see each keystroke that the teacher makes without having to peer
over the teacher's shoulder or strain to see an overhead projector. That
makes The Network Eye the perfect medium for education and training!
Save time and money by creating a shared modem, fax or plotter server.
Many Network Operating Systems (NOSs) do not permit access to asynchronous
hardware devices, such as those used to create modem, fax and plotter
servers. Even with a Local Area Network(LAN) in place, you still have to use
these important resources the old fashioned way... taking the time to walk to
each one individually.
The Network Eye changes that. It lets you expand your resource-sharing
capabilities to include such devices. By configuring a modem or fax board in
a single computer, everyone on the network can use The Network Eye to
directly control that modem or fax on a first-come, first-serve basis. They
can also directly access a plotter attached to a remote workstation. The
Network Eye offers you the ideal way to maximize the time- and money-saving
benefits of resource sharing!
Copy, cut and paste text from any network computer to any other network
computer.
The Network Eye lets you copy portions of any PC's screen into a special
Clipboard Window on your screen, and then paste that text into any other PC's
pop-up window. All the text you paste is transferred to that PC and written
on its screen. That means you can, for example, copy portions of one
spreadsheet to another spreadsheet. Or transfer data from a spreadsheet into
a report you're editing.
Take advantage of The Network Eye's low memory requirements.
The Network Eye uses very little memory (less than 30K on the controlling
computer and as little as 2K on the monitored computer) -- just one of the
features that makes The Network Eye the most affordable, most efficient,
multiwindow, multiprocessing network program available today!
Use passwords to keep Big Brother at bay.
Don't worry. Passwords protect computers from any unwanted, unauthorized
monitoring and control. Plus, you can be given on-screen notification when
someone is monitoring your computer.
The Network Eye works on most network adapter cards that implement NetBIOS.
The Network Eye will work with most ARCnet, Ethernet, Token Ring, Novell,
3Com or proprietary LAN adapters that have correctly implemented the NetBIOS
standard. And, of course, The Network Eye works with Artisoft's LANtastic NOS
and adapters.
